Electro-Deposition Coating (E-Coat) in Mendota Heights, Minnesota

   

Valmont-Applied Coating Technology specializes in E-Coating, one of the most durable and cost-effective methods of corrosion protection. The E-Coat process involves the use of electrical current to deposit paint on material, which is then baked in an oven allowing the paint particles to flow into a continuous organic film. This provides total protection by covering recesses, minute holes and other areas inaccessible to conventional spray applications. While E-coat has widely been used as a primer coat, the process has gained popularity as a final finish in recent years. Valmont-Applied Coating Technology has the capacity to accommodate aluminum, magnesium, or steel parts up to 68"L x 32"W x 53"H on our E-Coat Line.

Valmont-Applied Coating Technology offers PPG's Powercron 6000CX to produce an economical, durable protective finish that is recognized and approved by the Auto Industry. This environmentally friendly epoxy paint is a HAPs free, heavy metal free, and lead-free formulation.
