Deglaring Process
During the deglaring process, the structure is immersed in a bath containing a zinc-phosphate solution. While immersed, insoluble zinc-phosphate crystals are precipitated and deposited on the surface of the galvanized coating. After allowing the reaction to take place, this crystallizing action leaves behind a continuous film of zinc-phosphate on the surface of the galvanized structure. After the desired zinc-phosphate film weight is deposited, the structure is removed from contact with the solution and rinsed thoroughly and dried.
